"I was just looking through the window thinking how beautiful spring is. Then I thought how nice is to stay in bed, in a spring morning, while looking at sun rays that pass through the curtains, cast shadows on your bedroom floor and make funny shapes on the furniture. .." - my great friend (and supervisor) Niloofar ==> (P.S: She've said these things to indirectly tell some of our research lab members that she's unhappy they (and I) sometimes attend there late!)
I want to take this chance to appreciate the fact that our hot(I mean the weather!) busy confusing spring is, in fact, unbelievably more beautiful than many things I've ever seen in my whole life and definitely not every other country or city experience such a lovely nature. Although as someone who've got the chance to have the (almost full) view of our crowded huge city with all of its towers and highways right trough the very big window of my room, almost every second I'm at home (I'm always very strict about that my table should always face a window with a full view of the world outside or otherwise I can't work!), I've never got the chance to notice the beautiful view my great friend Niloofar has of my city (Tehran) -I even sometimes think the reason Niloofar loves Iran more than (unfortunately) many of us is the beauty she sees in here, and the great thing is that she is almost right.
Thanks to Niloofar, I've been inspired to describe our actual unfortunate happy everyday lives. To tell you the truth, most of SPRING days for many people like you and I starts at the early morning (5-6 am or even less for some people), trying to mix washing your teeth, brushing hears(if you may do!), and wearing (whatever you can find in the closet which you are able to put on depending on were you are going) all together! You may be lucky enough to have at most 3 to 5 minutes trying to make yourself look better (as a girl or guy), but skipping the breakfast is almost a divine rule of modern lives for most of us. So by that time (in a very optimistic look: something about 6:30am or at most 7am), you are almost ready for your everyday battle of how the hell (sorry!) you may finally get to university (or work?!) this time. Let's skip this almost exciting everyday adventures, and move on with the rest of our days! I don't know about this part of guys' days, but I always wonder how those lovely ladies at the university gates can be hardworking, responsible, and how the hell(sorry again!) the can arrive this early.
Anyway, after usual struggling for almost no reason which we've just got used to it, we finally get the chance to try not to fall sleep listening to our beloved professors' exciting speeches. Skipping the classes, launch and whatever, we've get the chance to work on university projects or things like that (some of you may consider people like me as book-worms or whatever but trust me or ask some of other lab members that at least in some fields or universities there is no other way to pass courses, and the worst is you know in the end you'll just pass not being able to expect good grades). There are people who have to do their university projects themselves, study, exercises, or at least show their presents at many classes they almost hate!
After staying late at university Labs which you can never guess why they are necessary to your field of study, you are almost ready again to the next battle (arriving home).
If you finally get home (let's say something around 8-9pm) you may not skip the dinner as there is still a place next to your laptop or PC to put your plate on it (eating a bit every 10 minutes) while trying to do university works. But to tell you the truth you may show that you love vision more than that by skipping all university matters and reading papers or implementing ideas (you may do them also at university). So in a very usual day, you'll fall sleep at 12. Of course, usual can be defined as never happening, so let's think about more realistic numbers like 1 to 4 am.
Luckily, most of us can still brush their teeth and finding their bed while in sleep. Do you know the what the good thing is?! That you can never love anything more than an alarm clock that use to count seconds way faster than you expect! And that's exactly how (and why) the next happy day will going to be started. Spring is always the loveliest season in our well ordered universities.
