To who may “Concur”

Have you heard it millions of times,
they say it “To whom it may Concern”?
But I rather the phrase: “To who may Care”
Even if those who may care won’t “Concur”

(Sheyda Beigpour - May 28th, 2007)

When we can at least talk about it...

You can make them come
You can make them go
You can give them your heart
And you can give your soul too

They can lie to you with no hard feelings
And they can easily make you believe
They can paint you a dream life
And they can make you wanna live

They can say jokes making you laugh
But they can’t help making your day
They can give you a key to the Heaven
But they won’t show you the true way

You can try to make them look
But you can’t make them want to see
You can try to make them happy
But you can’t make them want to be

They shouldn’t let you live a dream
They won’t stay with you forever
They can’t keep on making you believe
They can’t help making your life better

You can’t raise them to the top
You can’t make them wanna change
You can’t make them fall down
You can’t make it up to you, with revenge

You can’t make them remember
But still they can’t make you forget
You can’t make them love
But still they can’t make you hate…

(Sheyda Beigpour - May 28th, 2007)

Spring is always the loveliest season in our well ordered universities.

"I was just looking through the window thinking how beautiful spring is. Then I thought how nice is to stay in bed, in a spring morning, while looking at sun rays that pass through the curtains, cast shadows on your bedroom floor and make funny shapes on the furniture. .." - my great friend (and supervisor) Niloofar ==> (P.S: She've said these things to indirectly tell some of our research lab members that she's unhappy they (and I) sometimes attend there late!)

I want to take this chance to appreciate the fact that our hot(I mean the weather!) busy confusing spring is, in fact, unbelievably more beautiful than many things I've ever seen in my whole life and definitely not every other country or city experience such a lovely nature. Although as someone who've got the chance to have the (almost full) view of our crowded huge city with all of its towers and highways right trough the very big window of my room, almost every second I'm at home (I'm always very strict about that my table should always face a window with a full view of the world outside or otherwise I can't work!), I've never got the chance to notice the beautiful view my great friend Niloofar has of my city (Tehran) -I even sometimes think the reason Niloofar loves Iran more than (unfortunately) many of us is the beauty she sees in here, and the great thing is that she is almost right.
Thanks to Niloofar, I've been inspired to describe our actual unfortunate happy everyday lives. To tell you the truth, most of SPRING days for many people like you and I starts at the early morning (5-6 am or even less for some people), trying to mix washing your teeth, brushing hears(if you may do!), and wearing (whatever you can find in the closet which you are able to put on depending on were you are going) all together! You may be lucky enough to have at most 3 to 5 minutes trying to make yourself look better (as a girl or guy), but skipping the breakfast is almost a divine rule of modern lives for most of us. So by that time (in a very optimistic look: something about 6:30am or at most 7am), you are almost ready for your everyday battle of how the hell (sorry!) you may finally get to university (or work?!) this time. Let's skip this almost exciting everyday adventures, and move on with the rest of our days! I don't know about this part of guys' days, but I always wonder how those lovely ladies at the university gates can be hardworking, responsible, and how the hell(sorry again!) the can arrive this early.
Anyway, after usual struggling for almost no reason which we've just got used to it, we finally get the chance to try not to fall sleep listening to our beloved professors' exciting speeches. Skipping the classes, launch and whatever, we've get the chance to work on university projects or things like that (some of you may consider people like me as book-worms or whatever but trust me or ask some of other lab members that at least in some fields or universities there is no other way to pass courses, and the worst is you know in the end you'll just pass not being able to expect good grades). There are people who have to do their university projects themselves, study, exercises, or at least show their presents at many classes they almost hate!
After staying late at university Labs which you can never guess why they are necessary to your field of study, you are almost ready again to the next battle (arriving home).
If you finally get home (let's say something around 8-9pm) you may not skip the dinner as there is still a place next to your laptop or PC to put your plate on it (eating a bit every 10 minutes) while trying to do university works. But to tell you the truth you may show that you love vision more than that by skipping all university matters and reading papers or implementing ideas (you may do them also at university). So in a very usual day, you'll fall sleep at 12. Of course, usual can be defined as never happening, so let's think about more realistic numbers like 1 to 4 am.
Luckily, most of us can still brush their teeth and finding their bed while in sleep. Do you know the what the good thing is?! That you can never love anything more than an alarm clock that use to count seconds way faster than you expect! And that's exactly how (and why) the next happy day will going to be started. Spring is always the loveliest season in our well ordered universities.

One of my all time favorite movie quotes (By a preacher in the movie "Chocolat"(2000) )

"Do I want to speak of the miracle of our Lord's divine transformation? Not really, no. I don't want to talk about his divinity. I'd rather talk about his humanity. I mean, you know, how he lived his life, here on Earth. His *kindness*, his *tolerance*... Listen, here's what I think. I think that we can't go around... measuring our goodness by what we don't do. By what we deny ourselves, what we resist, and who we exclude. I think... we've got to measure goodness by what we *embrace*, what we create... and who we include."

There are 3 types of tragedies in life: 1. not getting what you want 2. getting it 3. LOSING it.

I've just updated that quote. Like it or not that's another way to look at it. I bet soon I'll be able to update it again !!

There are THREE types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, another is getting it, and the last is LOSING it (wondering if losing it was a good thing to happen or not)

P.S: Don't forget that somehow the 3th tragedy is implicitly expressed in the 2nd one, so I just wanted to make it explicit somehow!

It feels So Good...!!

زندگان مرگ آلود

زندگان مرگ آلود magnify
Thanks to Navid, it just came to my mind:
درغبارآلود شب های بی‌ پایان، آسمانم را چراغی نیست
برای باغ پائیزی آشفته تنهایی،‌ زمستانم را بهاری نیست
گویی در این تاریکی‌ زندان اندوه دل خسته ی‌ گمگشته
زندگان نومید مرگ آلود عمرم را، هیچ راه نجاتی‌ نیست

PS: That'll be the first thing I wrote by myself in Persian(Farsi) in this blog !!!

3 TOP REAL LOVE SONGS!!!! :P

In the following, 3 great songs are given which I truly Love. In fact, if they're never can b considered as LOVE SONGS, but I believe most people will LOVE these SONGS very much. So let's call them the REAL love songs:

Listening to some old mp3 files on my laptop, I've found this wonderful song/music by Chris De Burg (I believe listening to this music is way better than just reading this lyric below). It's not only a nice song in general, but also it's full of artistic descriptions and wise reasonings!!

I'm not crying over you
Chris De Burg

I don't mind this empty room, and I like it when I'm alone,
I'm trying not to think about you, I'm not waiting by the telephone,
I'm watching a late-night movie, where the lovers say goodbye,
And it's really getting to me, and tears are in my eyes,
But I'm not crying, I'm not crying,
I'm not crying over you, I'm over you;

I go out with all of my friends, and I'm hardly ever at home,
You know things just couldn't be better,
I have read it in my horoscope,
I might take a walk past your house, for a trip down memory lane,
You may see me at your window, standing in the pouring rain,
But I'm not crying, I'm not crying,
I'm not crying over you, no I'm not crying,
I'm not crying, I'm not crying, I'm not crying over you,
I'm over you;

No I'm not crying, I'm not crying,
I'm not crying over you, I'm over you,
I'm over you.

Elton John
I'm Still Standing
From the Album One Night Only (2000)

You could never know what it's like
Your blood like winter freezes just like ice
And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you
You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that mask you use

And did you think this fool could never win
Well look at me, I'm coming back again
I got a taste of love in a simple way
And if you need to know while I'm still standing you just fade away

Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah
I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

Once I never could hope to win
You starting down the road leaving me again
The threats you made were meant to cut me down
And if our love was just a circus you'd be a clown by now

Over You magnify

Chris Daughtry
Over You

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
Well I'm putting my heart back together,
'Cause I got over you.
Well I got over you.
I got over you.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Chris is a very fresh (and hot!) gifted rock singer who was among top 5 in the "American Idol" last year (season 5). His heavenly voice made him one of todays top artists in the music world. So I suggest you to download his first album "Daughtry" and let your ears enjoy.

Don't you wanna do it their way?!

This morning when I look at yahoo's first page I saw an outstanding news which was about an old Granny's up coming graduation from college, and I thought to myself: "Hey look! If you wanna do something, why don't do it their way?!" (Hey please don't think negative! ). I don't say when you want to do something (no matter what) you have to do it in someone else's way. I'm saying you may get better results not doing it in a normal, natural and regular way! Let me explain it with a few examples:

1. Thousands of very young talented motivated hardworking intelligent students graduate each year, and all most of them get are unemployment, rejection by other universities, military service, domination of bureaucracy on their graduation procedure, depression ,and many other things like them and no one really cares that they're just going to be wasted. But if we really want to be graduated maybe you should do it in that famous Granny's way (no offense, sure she is a living legend to all depressed young and old people).

2. Living in a country like Iran you can always see the big battle of Islamic suit over Iranian's. Sure some of Iranian boys and girls wearings are unsuitable for our society, but trust me it has nothing to do with their safety in spite of what Iran Government believes! I don't want to talk about this subject in this post (I may talk about it in later ones). Anyway, a few years ago I heard French police force prevented some student from entering their universities wearing Islamic suit, and all Iranian channels blamed French government for their offense to human rights! One interesting fact about this is that a few years ago, I was prevented from entering to my own university (where I've studied for about 4 years, and a hard year before that in other to be accepted there) in my own city and country (where I've spent almost 21 years) just because my Islamic suit was not Islamic enough (my overcoat was 3-4 fingers shorter than what it should be!! So that lovely lady at the university gate was able to see my knees inside my pants probably!) So if you want to wear Islamic suit you better do it in France so that you'll be honored in here!

3. Sure you've seen many movies about love and unfaithfulness (even if u really didn't want to see them!) So if you want to break up with someone but s/he never leaves you alone, all you have to do is to stick to that person 24hours a day without letting her/him notice the truth and soon s/he will become sick and tired of you and leave you anyway. Also if you want to have someone for ever you can play unfaithful to them and you'll be all their life! Hey! I was just kidding! These are just stories so don't be fooled!

4. ... (many other examples, and you can even send me your owns!)

So the fact is that you should do whatever you want but "If you play by the rules you'll miss all the fun" or "Just be your own different way, and do what you want"

Sorry for the delay !!

I supposed my blog at yahoo360' to be a twin sister or mirror or something like that to this blog (which just contains my own written posts or just some of very special and important lyrics or words by others), but unfortunately I forgot to update it. I'm really sorry about that but I'm going to make up for it by adding all relatively important posts I've added to my blog at 360' which are written after the previous post here.
So here they are... (Look UP !!)
